im 14 years old and thinking of starting to blacksmith but i still need a anvil and a forge do any of you know where i can get blacksmith tools around evanston illinois or do any of you know how to make a homemade forge

I never understood how a blacksmith can beat and shape heated steel on an anvil without the piece fusing with the anvil itself due to the heat. Are anvils made of a different steel, or is there something the blacksmith coats the anvil with to prevent fusing?
